Man Charged In Connection With Two Bank Robberies

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 34-year old man has been charged in connection with two robberies.

Wallace Banks, of Braddock, was charged with two counts of robbery.

He is believed to be responsible for the Aug. 15 WesBanco robbery on Middle Street on the North Side. Banks is also in the Aug. 16 Huntington Bank robbery on Smithfield Street Downtown.

He was taken to the hospital on Thursday for a preexisting injury before being arrested and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
