Police: Man Charged, Accused Of Taking Nude Photos Of Children

BUTLER (KDKA) – A Butler County man is facing charges over the alleged inappropriate contact with two children.

According to the criminal complaint, Michael Steinhiser, 40, of Cabot, allegedly assaulted two girls, ages 6 and 9, at their home in Washington Township, Butler County.

Authorities say they found out what was going on after an anonymous call to the child line.

In June, the victims were interviewed by investigators. The children said Steinhiser would lie down on his back, tell them to take off their underwear and walk over his face. Another incident involved sliding down Steinhiser's belly, while his pants and underwear were down.

He also allegedly took nude photos of the children in the bathroom, often while they got out of the shower.

The incidents allegedly happened while Steinhiser was home alone with the girls, and he reportedly told them, "Keep this a secret from your mom."

He was arrested this week and is facing a list of charges including, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, indecent exposure, open lewdness.

Steinhiser is out of jail after posting bail.

He faces a preliminary hearing on Aug. 8.
