Police: Man Attacks, Bites State Trooper In Derry Twp.

DERRY TWP. (KDKA) -- A state trooper is recovering after allegedly being attacked by a man in Derry Township.

Troopers were called to the home of Brian Keith Will, 46, who was allegedly threatening to take his own life.

When he arrived, Trooper Matt Myers managed to get the extremely agitated man to sit in a chair.

Allegedly, that's when Will lunged at Myers, biting at his arm and ripping his shirt, and clamping down on his hand.

A witness said Will has a history of odd behavior.

Trooper Myers was treated and is back on duty. Brian Will is in the Westmoreland County Jail on $25,000 bond, charged with felony aggravated assault.
