VANDERGRIFT, Pa. (AP) - A man has been arrested on evidence-tampering charges in the deaths of a man and woman found shot in their western Pennsylvania home with a toddler in a crib nearby.

Forty-six-year-old George Peace is charged with concealing or destroying evidence and tampering with evidence in the November deaths in Parks Township of 29-year-old Dawayne Klingensmith and 22-year-old Heather Swiklinski. Her 17-month-old child was found unharmed in a crib in another room.

Armstrong County authorities allege that Peace said in December that he had the gun used in the slayings and was told by one of the suspects to get rid of it, so he exchanged it for drugs.

Peace was held on $50,000 bail pending a May 2 preliminary hearing; a message left for his attorney Saturday wasn't immediately returned.
