Man Arrested In Domestic Dispute Escapes From UPMC McKeesport Hospital

MCKEESPORT (KDKA/AP) - Police are searching for a man arrested in a domestic dispute after he escaped from a Pittsburgh-area hospital while he was still in custody.

According to police, Alexander Erb was arrested involving a domestic and drug case in Glassport and was thought to have ingested a large quantity of drugs. He was taken to UPMC McKeesport Hospital for evaluation before transport to the Allegheny County Jail, and somehow left the hospital.

About 1 a.m., county police and those from several local departments were called after the man escaped.

No other details have been released.
