Man Arrested In Connection To New Kensington Shooting

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) -- Wilkinsburg police arrested a man Friday afternoon in connection to a fatal shooting that took place in New Kensington earlier this week.

Daquane Faulk is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old Todd Rogers late Sunday night.

According to police, the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday. Rogers was found on Moss Alley, near Fifth Avenue, with gunshot wounds to his head and side. He was flown to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.

The investigation led New Kensington police to put out an arrest warrant for Faulk for murder of the first degree, person not to possess a firearm and unlawful use of body armor.

Wilkinsburg police placed Faulk under arrest after he was seen standing on the front steps of a home on Swissvale Avenue, while wearing a bulletproof vest, around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
