Man Arrested In Connection With Double Fatal Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police arrested a man Wednesday evening in connection with a double fatal shooting from September.

Members of the Pittsburgh Police and U.S. Marshall's Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested John Williams, 22, of Homewood around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Two men, 25-year-old Kenneth Beckel and 28-year-old Jamie Romesburg, were killed in September after a shooting in Marshall-Shadeland.

Both victims were inside a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the intersection of Brighton Road and Ingham Street. Witnesses say a man exited the rear of the pickup truck and ran away from the scene. Witnesses overheard the victims in the truck yell "Get out, he has a gun."

Romesburg was pronounced dead at the scene. Beckel was trnasported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Williams will be charged with criminal homicide, robbery, possession of a firearm and firearms not to be carried without a license.
