Man Arrested For DUI After Wrong-Way Crash

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police arrested a man early Saturday morning after a car crash on Route 28.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of Route 28 around 5:30 a.m. Police officials say a man was driving the wrong way and crashed into another vehicle. Paramedics had to extricate a man from the front passenger seat, and he was sent to Allegheny General Hospital in serious condition.

The wrong-way driver was arrested for DUI and aggravated assault.

There is no word on the current condition of the victim or the driver of the other vehicle.
