Man Arrested After 3 Found Slain In Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a 46-year-old man was arrested after a short standoff at a northeast Philadelphia home where three people were found killed by shotgun blasts to the head.

Police said officers responded at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting at the Kensington address but a man refused to open the door, saying he had shot someone and wasn't coming out. Police said he later fired several shots at SWAT units as they were climbing onto the roof.

The suspect surrendered a short time later, and officers entered and found a man dead in the living room, another man dead on the dining room floor and a woman dead on the kitchen floor. All had been shot in the head; none of the three have been identified.
