Man Arrested In Connection To 12 Robberies

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police arrested a man Thursday in connection to a dozen robberies that took place over the past month and a half.

Police say 30-year-old Fredrick Pryor, of Carrick, is being charged for 12 armed robberies committed at 11 different Pittsburgh-area businesses since Aug. 31.

According to police, Pryor often wore a floppy brimmed hat during his robberies. Some of the locations robbed include a Wine and Spirits on Hazelwood Avenue, 7-Eleven on Penn Avenue and a Uni-Mart on Brownsville Road.

Pryor committed three robberies on Thursday alone at Be Nice African Braiding on Hillsboro Street, Ann's Market on Webster Avenue and Choung's Market on Arlington Avenue. He was arrested within an hour of robbing Choung's Market.

Police have been investigating the robberies for 7 weeks.
