Man, 77, Found Guilty Of Sex Charges

ALLEGHENY COUNTY (KDKA) -- A Penn Hills man was found guilty of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and multiple other charges Friday.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, 77-year-old Joseph Campinelli is facing a minimum of 30 years in prison.

Campinelli was found guilty of 24 counts lodged against him, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children and promoting prostitution.

The Allegheny County Police Department says an investigation into Campinelli began in November of 2015 after three girls, who were 13 years old at the time, alleged numerous crimes had been committed against them by Campinelli. He was arrested in January of 2016 and charged with 25 separate criminal counts.

A sentencing is scheduled for November 29.
