Mama Eagle Keeps Eggs Warm In Snow

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – We're not the only ones trying to stay warm in this snow.

The mama bald eagle in Hays has been hard at work keeping her eggs warm.

The eagle cam caught her rolling the eggs and patiently sitting on them as snow accumulates on her.

The nest seems to be buried in snow.

Earlier this week the eagle laid her first egg and just a few days later a second one was spotted in the nest.

Bird watchers have been eagerly awaiting the first egg of the season after the Eagle Cam became such a hit last year.

In December, Pennsylvania Game Commission officials said they were hoping for another successful year.
