Locals Affected By Gun Violence Share Support In Hill District

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) – In the Hill District, families affected by gun violence gathered Saturday, sharing stories and support for each other.

Organizers say they want grieving families to find others in the community who can share their pain and loss.

"When everybody else is gone, the void is still there and this is a message of hope to let everyone know there's still hope out there. We are here. We want them to know they're not alone," said Ursula Riggins of Hope, Faith, Strength and Courage.

The event took place at the Carnegie Library in the Hill District.
