Local Teen Remembers Father To Support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- A local teen continued her mission today in the battle against pancreatic cancer. Logan Robinson, 16-year-old, keeps her father's memory alive by raising money and awareness for the disease.

Since 2012, Robinson and members of the community gathered at Levin's Furniture in Monroeville every year. They dye a fountain purple for National Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, as well as a benefit lunch.

"I want to raise money for more research and awareness. I believe if we get more awareness, then people will want to donate," said Robinson.

Pancreatic cancer is the fifth-leading cause of death in the U.S. Only about 20 percent of its victims survive.
