Local Tattoo Artist Hoping For Second Chance At "Ink Master" Title

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Tattooing has come a long way, especially at Wyld Chyld studio on Brookline Avenue.

Owner Sarah Miller has a two-year waiting list.

"I specialize in portraits and photo realism, with an emphasis on color," she says. "I also like black and white."

With six employees, Wyld Chyld is the largest tattoo parlor in the Pittsburgh area.

At the moment, she's taping a commercial. But Sarah Miller is no stranger to television.

In the second season of the Spike TV show "Ink Master," she made the final two.

"I was so nervous," she recalls. "I had butterflies in my stomach. And when they said, 'Steve, you have what it takes, I felt like the bottom just dropped out of my stomach.' And I was like so disappointed."

Four years later, she's back, determined to win.

The new season opens Tuesday, March 1.

"I love competing," Sarah says. "I love competition. And I found myself the first time I was on the show on season two. So I figured if I go back, put myself through the ringer, and I go through all the challenges, sweating buckets, trying to come up with things at the drop of a hat, that I'd probably find myself again."
