Golf Course Ropes Off 'Safe Zone' After Turtle Lays Eggs

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you plan on playing at the Wildwood Golf Club this summer, be on the lookout for a roped off area.

The golf club, located in Allison Park, posted a picture on social media showing a mother turtle carefully placing her eggs in a sand trap.

The turtle reportedly spend four hours preparing the home for her eggs. To help keep the baby turtles safe, the golf course has roped the area off.

If your ball happens to land in the safe zone, a free drop is awarded.
