Little Leaguers Raise Money For Injured Hockey Player

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Some little league baseball players are raising money for a young man who was seriously injured while playing ice hockey.

On Friday, they held a tournament at Northgate High School to benefit Kevin Kenny.

Kenny was injured playing hockey and is now paralyzed from the waist down.

Harry Wynkoop, president of the baseball organization, heard Kenny's story and wanted to help.

"Really just started to make me think we could be doing more, and his family has incurred a lot of debt from various medical equipment and treatment and we want to do what we can," said Wynkoop.

The boys are hoping to raise $10,000 for Kenny.
