Little League Players Safe After Police Chase Near Carrick Field

CARRICK (KDKA) -- A police chase came dangerously close to a little league game Friday evening in Carrick.

Witnesses tell KDKA the game had just wrapped up at a ballpark on Colerain Street and the kids were standing near the bleachers celebrating the birthday of one of their teammates when the chase came barreling by.

The witness says people were pushing the kids into the dugout to get them out of the way.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Police managed to stop the car and take one man into custody, but they haven't released why officers were chasing him.

The chase began after 9 p.m. on the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
