Popular Strip District Restaurant Set To Close

PITTSBURGH (KDKDA) -- After almost 20 years, Lidia's in the Strip District will be serving its final meal.

The Italian restaurant is set to close.

Celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich made a splash when she decided to open a restaurant in Pittsburgh, back in 2001.

But the location is set close in mid-September.

KDKA has asked representatives of the restaurant why it is closing down, but the restaurant has not provided any comment.
