Le'Veon Bell Named Steelers' MVP

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) –Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has been named as the team's MVP for this season.

According to a statement from the team, this is the seventh time in team history that a running back has won the team award and the first since Willie Parker in 2006.

Bell set a single-season franchise record for scrimmage yards with 2,115 and he still has one game left in the regular season.

To date, Bell has rushed for 1,341 yards and caught 77 passes for 774 yards. In total, Bell has scored 11 touchdowns.

At one point this season, Bell had over 200 scrimmage yards in three straight games, making him the first player since Walter Payton in 1997 to accomplish that feat.

Antonio Brown won the team MVP award last season.

The Steelers will host the Bengals Sunday night with the winner taking the AFC North title.
