Penguins Defenseman Kris Letang Named One Of 'Last Men In' To All-Star Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang was voted by fans as one of the "Last Men In" to the 2019 NHL All-Star Game.

The league made the announcement Friday afternoon.

Letang joins teammate Sidney Crosby on the Metropolitan Division team. Letang will be playing in his fifth All-Star Game, adding to selections in 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2018.

"See you at the All Star game. Thanks to all the fans that voted for me ????"

Along with Letang, Buffalo Sabres winger Jeff Skinner, Colorado Avalanche left winger Gabriel Landeskog and Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl are headed to San Jose for All-Star Weekend on January 25th and 26th.

Over the last week, more than 11.5 million votes were cast by fans including a single-day record 2 million votes on Thursday January 10th.
