Landslide Prompts South Side Slopes Road Closure

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A landslide has forced city crews to close down a road in the South Side Slopes.

Oporto Street, between Shamokin and Huron Streets, is shut down to traffic until further notice.

The city says heavy rains over the past few days caused a landslide, prompting the closure.

If you need to get to Huron Street, city officials say you'll have to use Baldauf Street for now.

Signs will be posted in the area about the closure.
