Lamar Patterson Named ACC Player Of The Week For Third Straight Week

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt Forward Lamar Patterson is having an outstanding season for the Panthers, and the awards just keep pouring in to prove that.

For a school-record third time this season, Patterson has been named the ACC Player of the Week. Patterson led the Panthers to wins over Clemson and at Maryland while averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.

Patterson ties a school record for most conference player of the week honors in a career with six other players: Clyde Vaughn, Brandin Knight, Vonteego Cummings, Sam Clancy, Carl Krauser and Sam Young.

Patterson will look to continue his dominant play into tonight's ACC Conference matchup with the Duke Blue Devils. Tune in to 93-7 The FAN all day for coverage of Pitt vs. Duke, with pregame coverage featuring Julius Page and Andrew Fillipponi tipping off at 6 p.m.
