Kittanning woman arrested for allegedly dropping baby on head
KITTANNING, Pa. (KDKA) - A Kittanning woman was arrested for allegedly dropping a newborn baby on her head.
The child was hurt around noon Tuesday and was taken to Children's Hospital, police said.
Investigators said Sarah Lugo was responsible, but she had fled the scene during the investigation. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
Officers later found her barricaded in her house near North Jefferson Street. Police said they executed a search warrant and arrested her after she resisted.
She's facing a list of charges, including endangering the welfare of children, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was taken to the Armstrong County Jail.
Police didn't give an update on the baby's condition.
