Pittsburgh Steelers Give Cornerback Joe Haden Two-Year Extension

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Steelers have extended veteran corner Joe Haden for two more seasons.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter broke the news Sunday night, and the Steelers made the move official on Monday.

Shefter tweeted "CB Joe Haden and the Steelers have agreed to a 2-year, $22 million extension that includes a $16.8M signing bonus, per source."

Haden is signed with the team through the 2021 campaign.

He had one year remaining on his previous deal, which he signed before the 2017 season.

Haden and the team have been working on a new deal since the start of training camp.

The veteran expressed his excitement over the new contract on Twitter Sunday.
