Jim Krenn Makes His In-Studio Debut On KDKA Radio

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Every Friday at 8 a.m. Jim Krenn will join Larry Richert and John Shumway the newest edition to the KDKA Morning News.

Friday, he made his debut, giving his unique view of events going on in Pittsburgh and the world.

This week Jim talked about becoming a part of the CBS family -- he says he's loyal to TV and Radio. Krenn joked he was upset when he saw a tabloid that is questioning Dr. Phil's credentials.

He also talked about New York mayor Bill de Blasio and how he dropped Punxsutawney Phil imitator, "Staten Island Chuck," causing Chuck to later die from internal injuries. Jim had a quote from Phil who was very upset to see Chuck die.

Krenn also says John Shumway's reporting skills caused him to pay closer attention to the news, now that he is a co-host of the KDKA Morning News.

This included the story of a man who was saved from an accident by Mike Tyson, but made sure to stop and get a selfie with the famous former boxer.

Also don't miss Krenn's take on a Virgin Airlines flight making an emergency landing for a strange reason, President Obama saluting with a cup of coffee in his hand and the woman who claimed to have a third breast implanted -- including the disappointment his felt when he found out it wasn't real.
