Jerry Seinfeld Seeks Out Local Man For Classic Car Collection

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Comedian Jerry Seinfeld wound up behind the wheel of a local man's classic car for the latest edition of his show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

The online show was looking for a 1967 Jaguar Mark II for an episode that debuts Thursday at noon where Seinfeld takes comedian Robert Klein for coffee.

They found a car owned by Scott Drab of Irwin, Westmoreland County.

"Jerry Seinfeld likes green, and he wants your car, and I said okay, terrific, when do we go?" said Drab.

So a truck came and picked up the green Jaguar for filming in New York and then returned it four days later unscratched.

It turns out, Drab has his own private museum of classic Jaguars, classic signs, racing suits, even a painting of the company's founder he commissioned.

Drab says he found a surprise in the glove box afterwards: "It was a handwritten note saying thank you from Jerry Seinfeld. I was really deeply touched by it."

And if you'd like to see Drab's car up close, it's going to be part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix's Walnut Street Car Show in Shadyside on Monday, July 14.
