Emergency Responders Called To Jefferson Hospital For Possible Chemical Spill

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There 's word of a chemical spill at Jefferson Hospital.

Emergency responders were called to the hospital.

Officials at the hospital say employees first noticed an unusual odor around 8:20 p.m.

It appears to be from a cleaning solvent near the operating rooms. It's unclear if it was spilled or just released a strong odor.

One operating room was being used at that time, but was not affected.

Two employees reportedly suffered from breathing issues, but are expected to be OK.

No word on any other injuries.
