JEANNETTE (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a fatal shooting Thursday evening in Westmoreland County.

According to emergency dispatchers, the shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Clay Avenue, near 6th and 7th Avenues, in Jeannette.

Upon arrival, police found Michael V. Wilson, 32, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to Excela Health Westmoreland where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives say the gunman took off down Clay Avenue. It is believed the suspect got into a white Chevy Venture minivan with a roof rack on top.

People who live in the area were frustrated by the violence.

"We don't need this in Jeannette, and summer hasn't even started," one woman said.
