Jameson Taillon Looks Back On Rookie Season

PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan) -- Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon finished the 2016 season with a 5-4 record and a 3.38 ERA in 18 starts. Taillon joined Chris Mack on "Bucco Talk" Saturday. Taillon admitted he had stretches where he felt tired, but finished the season with a jolt of energy.

"I'm riding off into the offseason feeling pretty good, feeling pretty strong about how I finished. Body feels great, I'll be able to attack my offseason program and get ready for next year with no restraints," Taillon said.

Taillon said it's a little early to set goals for 2017, but one thing did come to mind..

"I just started throwing my two-seam (fastball) more this year, so I'd like to continue working on that, get comfortable with the command of that pitch," Taillon said.
