Jamel Artis Has A "Win Or Go Home" Mentality

PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan) -- Pitt forward Jamel Artis joined Bob Pompeani before the Panthers game at Wake Forest.

Many experts are of the opinion that Pitt might need to win their final three regular season games to make the NCAA Tournament, and Artis is using that approach.

"It's win or go home. We lose, we're not in. That's how I'm looking at it," Artis said.

Artis told Pompeani that while he can play outside, he has no problem with driving to the basket to create offense for himself and his teammates.

"I can do both inside and outside but when they're stepping out and just playing my shot, I like to be more aggressive attacking the basket," Artis said.

Artis said that Jamie Dixon is a great coach, and likes his approach.

"He just pushes me every day. He tells me when I'm wrong, and that's what I wanted from a coach," Artis said.
