Sunshine on tap for Pittsburgh area

KDKA-TV Afternoon Forecast (4/22)

The sunshine is back in the Pittsburgh area for the next couple of days. 

Clouds decrease on Tuesday and highs are near normal in the upper 60s. On Wednesday, we jump back to the upper 70s and then to the low 80s on Thursday with mostly sunny skies. 

So far for the month, the Pittsburgh area is 1.6 degrees above normal and that will continue to rise throughout the end of the month. For precipitation, the region is a little over 0.5 inches below normal.

More rain moves into the region on Friday. Right now, it doesn't look like anything severe. There could be a few rumbles of thunder and highs are in the upper 70s. Rain showers continue for Saturday then the area stays dry through the rest of the weekend and start of the work week.

Above normal temperatures will continue through the beginning of May.
