Teen Killed By Suspected Underage Drunk Driver
INDIANA COUNTY (KDKA) -- A teenage boy died after being struck by a suspected underage drunk driver in Indiana County early Saturday morning.
State police say the crash happened just after 3 a.m. on Mt. Zion Road in Pine Township, Indiana County.
According to state troopers, 16-year-old Kai Hrabovsky, of Homer City, was walking along the roadside with a group of teenagers, coming from a late-night party in the woods. At the same time, a 20-year-old man was driving a Jeep Wrangler when he lost control on a curve and struck Hrabovsky.
Police say the driver, who's also from Homer City, never stopped and drove to his house. The group Hrabovsky was walking with helped police identify the driver.
"We have recovered the vehicle involved," Trooper Clifford with the Pennsylvania state police said. "The operator of the vehicle was taken into custody and was later released pending further investigation."
Hrabovsky was pronounced dead a short time later. The Indiana County coroner is scheduled to conduct an autopsy. Meanwhile, police have not released the name of the driver. He could be charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI.

Hrabovsky was a 10th grade student at Homer-Center High School. The district will have counselors available to students on Monday. State police have not filed charges as the investigation continues.
