Incmikoski Reacts to Pirates' Start

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) – Robby Incmikoski of Root Sports stopped by "The Colin Dunlap Radio Programme" following the Pirates' 4-1 loss to the Reds on Tuesday night. Robby and Colin had a conversation about how the season has played out so far.

They start things off by talking about Johnny Cueto and how dominant he was on Tuesday night. Cueto threw his second complete game in as many starts against the Pirates this season. Robby talks said Cueto found a different way to beat the Pirates tonight. Two complete game performances like this, "It makes you say 'wow,'" Robby said.

They went on to talk about Edinson Volquez and how well he's pitched through his first few starts. Robby says that Volquez was not nervous about his development.

"This guy's going to be okay despite what he showed in March," he said.

Colin notes that reigning NL MVP Andrew McCutchen seems to be picking it up as of late.

Robby notes Hurdle said last year that McCutchen is a guy that focuses on the process, which Hurdle values.

"Don't be surprised to see him be an MVP candidate again this year," Robby said.
