I-80 Partially Closed After Multiple Accidents

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Eastbound Interstate 80 is closed after multiple vehicles have crashed.

Both lanes are closed following the accident which happened around 7:30 a.m. near New Castle.
PennDOT say the road is expected to reopen in one or two hours.

Two people were killed Wednesday on I-80 after a chain reaction pileup during whiteout conditions near Clarion Township.

PennDOT also announced Friday morning that is was reducing speed limits on I-80 in Clarion and Jefferson counties.

The speed limit has been dropped to 45 miles per hour.
