Hurdle, McCutchen Up For Postseason Awards

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Two Pirates who won postseason awards in 2013 are up for the same awards.

Andrew McCutchen is a finalist for National League Most Valuable Player, along with Los Angeles pitcher Clayton Kershaw and Miami outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.

McCutchen hit 25 home runs and batted .314 in helping the Pirates make the playoffs for a second straight season.

Clint Hurdle is again a candidate for National League Manager of the Year, too. His competition is the Giants' Bruce Bochy and Matt Williams of the Nationals.

The Pirates were shut out for Gold Glove Awards. Catcher Russell Martin and leftfielder Starling Marte were finalists, but neither won.

The Cardinals' Yadier Molina won his seventh-straight gold glove behind the plate, while the Marlins Christian Yelich won in left field.
