Police: Child's Report Of Attempted Luring By Man In Patriots' Hat False

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police in Hopewell Township say a child made up a story about a man wearing a New England Patriots' hat attempting to lure him into a car.
Hopewell Township Police said the child told them it happened Monday at Croxall Avenue and Alden Street.
The boy said he was walking his dog in the neighborhood when he was allegedly approached by a man driving a white BMW with black wheels and an "I love the Patriots" bumper sticker.
But now police say the child's story is false.
