Firefighters Battle Flames, Cold In Homestead Overnight

HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- Firefighters battled the bitter cold, as well as flames, in Homestead early Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out around 3 a.m. at a house on McClure Street, near East 19th Street.
Officials say it started as a kitchen fire.
It then quickly went to two alarms before it was brought under control.
There are no reports of injuries.
The Red Cross is helping two adult and two children with clothing, food, and temporary lodging.
We are currently providing the resources necessary for two adult and two children to secure clothing, food, and temporary lodging following a single-family home fire that occurred early this morning on the 1900 block of McClure St in Homestead (Allegheny County).
