Homeless Man Found Sleeping In Trash Bin Dumped Into Truck

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a homeless man sleeping in a gas station trash container was taken to a hospital after the container was emptied into a garbage truck.

A police spokeswoman said the 36-year-old man was in the trash container in the Speedway Gas Station in the Port Richmond section of the city.

Workers found him after the contents were dumped into the garbage truck shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.

Police said the man was taken to Temple Medical Center for evaluation but was reported in stable condition.
