Child, 3, Injured After Falling Out Of Window In Hill District

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 3-year-old child has been rushed to the hospital after falling from a second-story window of a home in the Hill District.

The incident was reported after 2 p.m. in the 600 block of Watt Street.

Officials say two young brothers climbed out of the window and onto the roof, where one of them took a dangerous tumble to the ground.

The boy, identified by family members as Jaidyn Fulton, survived the fall from the rooftop, even though he landed on some rocks. He was in a lot of pain with cuts, bruises, and head and neck injuries.

He was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment. He is in critical but stable condition, but he was conscious when being loaded into an ambulance.

The childrens' grandmother tells KDKA that this isn't the first time Jaidyn and his brother were up on that roof.

The grandmother and brother were taken by Pittsburgh Police Detectives to police headquarters.

Pittsburgh Police are investigating the incident.

Stay with KDKA for the latest on this developing story.
