Police Investigating Hill District Shooting

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the Hill District late Sunday morning.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 2400-block of Chauncey Drive.

According to police, paramedics and officers found a 25-year-old man who had been shot in the upper torso at the scene. The victim was sent to UPMC Presbyterian in stable condition.

Police say they believe three young black males approached the victim while he was standing outside, and one of the three was the shooter.

All three were wearing dark clothing at the time of the shooting, and they fled the scene on foot.

The investigation is ongoing.
