1 Dead, Another Injured After Shooting In Pittsburgh's Hill District

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A shooting that left one person dead is under investigation in the city's Hill District.

Pittsburgh police say it happened along Bedford Avenue around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators are asking the public to avoid the area at this time. Bedford Avenue has been shut down between Chauncey Drive and Watt Lane.

According to police, they arrived on scene to find a male victim in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after, police say.

While police were investigating, they say a second gunshot victim walked into a local hospital and was listed as stable. The medical examiner's office identified the victim as Randy Edwards.
