Hersheypark: Visitors Can Use Bathrooms They Gender-Identify With

HERSHEY (KDKA) -- Transgender guests and employees can use the bathrooms they gender-identify with, Hersheypark announced Friday.

According to PennLive.com, the amusement park made the announcement in an official statement. The news comes as Pennsylvania, along with the rest of the United States, debates allowing transgender people to use their bathroom of choice.

Hersheypark spokesperson Kathy Burrow reportedly said the policy is consistent with the park's values.

"For decades, Hersheypark has been dedicated to the safety and security of our guest and employees. It is foundational to our brand," Burrows reportedly said in a prepared statement. "Additionally, the park has and will always strive to accommodate all guests and employees - including members of the LGBT community - to ensure those visiting or working at Hersheypark are comfortable and feel secure."
