Hermitage Man Accused Of Killing Wife Before Shooting Himself

HERMITAGE (KDKA) - A Hermitage man wife is accused of shooting and killing his wife before turning the gun on himself.

It happened Friday in the 2700 block of Sample Road.

Police say Edward Tremmel, 51, shot and killed his wife Cheryl Lynne Tremmel, 44, just before 6 p.m.

When officers arrived they found Edward Tremmel with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his face.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he has reportedly undergone surgery.

Hermitage Police have applied for a warrant for the arrest of Edward Tremmel, charging him with criminal homicide.
