An experiment has quickly gone viral.

A California man gave a homeless man named Thomas $100 and secretly decided to follow him to see how he'd use it.

Thomas went into a liquor store, but he doesn't buy alcohol. Instead, he bought food and then shared it with others.

The man that made the video started an online fundraiser to help Thomas get a fresh start.

As of tonight, people have donated over $70,000.
