Heinz Hall To Install State-Of-The-Art Metal Detectors In 2020

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you plan to attend a show at Heinz Hall next year, you might want to give yourself some extra time.

Metal detectors and extra security will be added on Jan. 17.

There is no threat, instead, officials say they want to be "proactive" and ahead of the curve.

The state-of-the-art metal detectors, which are designed to find weapons, won't require you to empty your pockets.
