Two Adults Suffer Severe Burns In Hays Manor Fire

MCKEES ROCKS (KDKA) -- Two adults were severely burned in a fire at Hays Manor in McKees Rocks Saturday morning.

According to McKees Rocks fire chief Nick Radoycis, firefighters were sent to the housing complex on Locust Street around 8:24 a.m. for reports of heavy smoke showing and people jumping from windows. The building was evacuated, and firefighters had the fire under control in about half an hour. Radoycis says the fire was confined to a single unit on the first floor of the apartment building.

Two adults were sent to the hospital with possibly life-threatening severe burns, according to Radoycis, and at least one child was sent to Children's Hospital with unknown injuries. No firefighters were injured.
