Egg In Hays Bald Eagle Nest Breaks, 2 Remain

HAYS (KDKA) – One of the eggs in the Hays bald eagle nest has broken.

According to the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, observers noticed the broken egg Wednesday morning.

The eagles were caring for three eggs and it is unclear which of the three broke.

Bald eagle eggs take about 35 days to hatch. The first egg was scheduled to hatch on or around March 20.
