Victim Hospitalized After Gunfire In Swissvale Overnight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – There was gunfire in Pittsburgh's Swissvale neighborhood early Saturday morning.

It happened around 1:54 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Braddock Avenue. A short time later, a 21-year-old gunshot victim showed up at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Lothrop Street with a gunshot wound to the back.

Allegheny County Police Homicide Detectives learned that the victim was driven to the hospital by a friend in a vehicle that was riddled with bullet holes. The investigation is ongoing and the motive for the shooting is not clear.
