Gunfire Hits Car In Beltzhoover

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman says she's lucky to be alive after somebody opened fire on the vehicle she was riding in Thursday night in Beltzhoover.

The shooting happened around 9:10 p.m. on Sylvania Street and Delmont Avenue.

Erica Parran says she and the people she was with were coming down a hill when all of the sudden somebody started shooting at them.

"I seen sparks. I thought it was fireworks, and then I heard the glass shatter, and then I thought, 'Oh, this is a gun. This is gunfire.' It's crazy," said Parran. "I don't know what was going on. I just know I was in the car and I could have lost my life tonight."

Parran says they pulled over and called police.

Officers recovered several shell-casings at the scene.

No arrest has been made.
